VIDEO PREMIERE OF ONE NAIRA-MI FT WAJE

Well, not really but it’s like a substitute. It is more of the IDEA OF THE VIDEO PREMIERE of the song. You see, I’m kind of tired of Nigerian music videos not having any thought or storyline behind it except for of course DIPO’S BE YOUR MAN video. That was beautiful. Back to the song/ video idea at hand, I think its time for us the consumers to have a say in the videos we watch and how it should after all….we don’t pluck money from the nonexistent money tree. If you guys have any suggestions, like something you think that I should include or exclude you could tell me.

You guys have heard the song and know it is an amazing song and it would be a shame if the mental laziness of the director/whoever doesn’t capture the essence of the lyrics and song in the video. It would also be a shame if the song doesn’t have a video; so it’s more of a damned if you do lazily and damned if you don’t do a video situation. M.E.X/PXC/Chocolate City, I hope you guys see this and use it, it’s FREE. You won’t be insulted or hounded for ‘stealing’.

SCENE I: AT HOME–DAY

LOCATION: some slum in Lagos. The apartment is this face-me-I-face-you type

(Wakes up from his mat on the floor which he was sleeping on and walks to compound where he finds Waje sweeping. He smiles and tiptoes to her and tickles her)

(Startled and turns around)

(He places his one hand on her cheek with the other on the waist and they both look into each other’s eyes)

(She uses her hand to indicate “don’t mention/it’s nothing” and continues sweeping)

(Taps her to show her girls across the street in miniskirts and revealing clothes adjusting themselves and pushing up their breasts waiting for men)

(Drops the shovel and start walking towards her)
